As a Neighbourhood Housing Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our community, helping residents feel safe, supported, and proud of where they live. Every day brings the chance to make a real difference, building relationships, solving problems, and keeping our neighbourhoods thriving.

What you will do:.​
​​​
  • Deliver a high-quality housing management service that supports customers to live well and enjoy safe, well-maintained neighbourhoods.

  • Take ownership of your neighbourhood patch, spending most of your time on-site to ensure services meet high standards.

  • Conduct property inspections and tenancy checks, addressing breaches, ASB, and non-compliance effectively.

  • Identify and refer customers for support or safeguarding as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations including gas, electrical, and fire standards.

  • Develop and coordinate neighbourhood action plans in collaboration with residents and internal teams.

  • Build strong partnerships with local authorities, police, and community organisations to maintain clean, safe neighbourhoods.

  • Contribute to projects and local investment initiatives that enhance community wellbeing and reduce crime or ASB.

  • Handle complaints proactively with a focus on resolution and improving customer satisfaction.

  • Deliver inclusive, customer-focused services that meet diverse needs.

  • Stay informed on housing legislation, best practice, and community issues to continuously improve service delivery.

What you will bring:​
​
  • Experience of dealing with customers face to face in a housing related role

  • Experience of working with customers and stakeholders to deliver sustainable improvements and positive outcomes for communities.

  • Knowledge of dealing with anti-social behavior complaints 

  • Awareness of customers diverse needs

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to  a changing and varied workload

  • Ability to write and communicate clearly and appropriately to different audiences.

  • Ability to gather, record and analyse data, using manual and electronic systems including microsoft packages.

  • Excellent organisation, project management and time management skills

Salary: £32,507 up to £36,229 per year dependant on experience plus car allowance
